Eike Schmitz studied Classics and English and American literature at the Universities of Heidelberg, Cambridge and Cornell. He taught English and American language and literature at the Technische Universität Berlin until 1981. Since then, he has worked as an author, director and producer of television documentaries (among others, for arte, ZDF, Discovery Channel and Channel Four).

About us
Vincent Assmann draws comics and is a musician, composer and video artist. After doing his civil service at the University Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany, he went on to study at the Film and Television Academy in Potsdam-Babelsberg (Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen). Now he works on the conception and realization of multimedia projects.
Susanne holds a joint master's degree in the history of science, ancient history and art history from the Technical & Humboldt Universities in Berlin. Since 2002 she has been working at Atlantis-Film responsible for story development. She also freelances as a docu-fiction scriptwriter, journalist, and editor. Her clients include the German National Geographic Magazine, GEO and the Berliner Zeitung.
Sebastian Reuter studied in the cities of Munster, Cologne and Berlin. He has a master's degree in English studies, ethnology and philosophy. Between 2001 and 2002, he worked as a sound assistant and recording director for various film productions. He has been working as a sound designer and sound mixer since 2002. He has more than ten years experience in composition (guitar and singing) for which he uses a wide variety of electronic instruments, samplers, as well as different hard- and software.
Mathieu Honoré took his final examination, in video and script-writing at the University of Kiel. He then worked as a technical assistant in the Phytopathological Institute in the University of Kiel where he also did his apprenticeship as an editor. After that, he moved on to work as a live-director for the Open Channel. He then became an assistant director for "Breakfast Television" on Sat 1 before starting to work for Atlantis film.
Natalija Yefimkina was born in Kiew, Ukraine. She studied Slavic languages and literature,
journalism and history at Leipzig University and Humboldt University, Berlin. After
working as production assistant for the feature film “Siberia” at Greenlightmedia in Berlin,
she joined Atlantis-Film, Berlin in 2007 as assistant director and production assistant.
